Prints are proofs of the ill., reproduced from a photo. by Dine of a construction with two sculpted Pinocchio figures. From photgravure plates made and printed by Joe Freye; cf. colophon of book. With Dine's ms. note to Freye on back of foam enclosure. Smaller print mounted (size of primary support 19 x 15 cm.); larger print hand-col. by Dine. Mylar sheets contain book text (14 sheets) and lettering for the box (2 sheets), reproduced from Dine's handwriting. Mylar sheet for the title accompanied by hand-lettered original. Folded sheets constitute a mock-up of the finished book, with text printed from polymer relief plates by Amy Newell. Except the last, on double leaves; rectos, except the last, numbered in pencil from 3 to 51. With artist's ms. notes.
